Dear friend Madoline [sic]
I feel as I am quite a stranger writing to you never sen you a word yet but never mind just as good friends as ever. Ha-Ha!
Well how is the world using you anyway? I am enclosing one of my picture post-card I don’t think it is me do you? I look like a sleepy head. Just come off guard. I suppose you were to Church this morning, I was the whole regiment together.
Say Madoline whatever are you going to do when Ela [sic] comes to London you will be minus one good chum. I bet Eathan will miss Len. Ha-Ha! I guess he will after enough too I expect I will be back to Arkona for the last time I think? We will be leaving about a week from Wednesday. I hope I run across Don Sutherland and Pat Brown.
Well be good Madoline. Remember me to Lydia and your folks.
Will [Torrington]
