Dear Madeline & children [“children” suggests more than one child — Eileen born in 1917, Mildred born in 1921]

Sunday 9:30 P.M.

All’s well, stayed up town all day and went to church tonight This has been one glorious day with no end to tourists passing.

I am getting along alright but don’t like sticking around when nothing to do. Am living on my reserve strength for a few days until such time some one takes pity on me and steps in and washes up the dishes. The sweet peas are beautiful and I took a bunch of bloom over to Mrs Richardson. Some of the Gladiolus are out.

Be sure and take plenty of time on this holiday until both parties are sick of each other. We don’t want no tears spilled. how are the children getting along? I suppose lots of fun for them. Was wishing today was up in the Ark over the week end, but will try and save the time and money for the future.

This will be newsless, but will have the satisfaction of writing. Best regards to all friends.
Love and kisses to yourself and children.

Yours,
Bill

P.S. X+X+X
